DANG LEBADANG (1921-2015) Vertical cubist bouquet Canvas Signed lower right 100 x 49 cm Damage and missing parts Lebadang, whose real name was Lê Bá Đảng, was a naturalized French Vietnamese painter, sculptor and engraver. Born in Vietnam in 1921, he arrived in France in 1939 to study at the École des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse. By 1950, he was exhibiting in Paris, and the Cincinnati Art Museum devoted an exhibition to him in 1966. In 1978, he created the sets and costumes for the opera "Mi Châu-Trọng Thủy" at the Paris Opera.
