MARCOS MARIN ( born 1967 in Brazil) Portrait of a man black and white silkscreen 103.5x73 cm Marcos met Vasarely at the Cité des Arts in Paris in 1990. Intrigued by Vasarely's work, Marcos Marin embarked on the adventure of optical art. His work was rewarded with two prizes: the Fiat Prize for his work on Christopher Columbus celebrating the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America (Fiat Museum, Turin) and the Philips Collection Prize for his work on Mona Lisa (coll. Philips New York). During this decade, Marcos Marin plays an important role in cultural development between Brazil and France for the AIAP UNESCO.
