Toraja country, South Sulawesi Island (Celebes), Indonesia War tunic (Baju Garusu) Woven plant fibers, shell disks (conus-like), horn and wood. Late 19th century - early 20th century H : 67 cm. Similar models are found among the Dayak of Borneo. The Musée du Quai Branly owns a similar example from the former Barbier-Muller collection in Geneva. Compare this tunic with the Javanese warrior's cuirass in the British Museum.
