NAPOLEON - Lot 117
NAPOLEON Presentation yatagan, the scabbard covered with a cut-out silver plate revealing the word "NAPOLEON". The scabbard features a laurelled profile of Emperor Napoleon I. A diamond-shaped hallmark with a "B" is present (unidentified). Two suspension rings complete the weapon. The handle is in horn (very damaged) and the blade is decorated with oriental motifs and a Turkish hallmark (worn). This ceremonial weapon is typical of those produced after the Egyptian campaign.
