History
René Crevel (1900-1935) was a French Surrealist writer and poet, close to André Breton and later to Tristan Tzara when he joined the Dadaist movement. His highly original, sensitive style gave rise to works such as "Babylone" (1927), "Êtes-vous fous?" (1929) and "Les Pieds dans le plat" (1933). At the age of just 35, he committed suicide on the night of June 17-18, 1935.
