PROVENANCE Probably Françoise Tournié, Paris. Galerie Françoise Tournié collaborated with Man Ray on several exhibitions in the 1970s. Private collection, Paris. BIBLIOGRAPHY L. Anselmino, Man Ray. Opera grafica, Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia, Torino, 1973, p.112, illustration of engraving on p.113 Andrew Strauss and Timothy Baum of the Man Ray Expertise Committee have confirmed the authenticity of this work, which will be included in the catalog of Man Ray's works on paper with reference 00304-D-2023. The present work is the original drawing used to create the series of lithographs "L'Emerveillé Merveilleux (Hommage à Mirò)", published in an edition of 80 copies plus an artist's proof.
