BRYLINSKI (Theodore). - Lot 445
BRYLINSKI (Theodore). Cracow. Notes of a trip. May 1886. (Paris, 1886). In-8, full vellum slightly later, covers preserved. 62 pp. Private edition, printed in a very small number, probably intended for his children and relatives. He tells his trip on the land of his ancestors, and shares his emotion. Precious copy, including numerous handwritten notes in the margin. These notes are due to a relative, and bring many precisions. Painted coat of arms of the Brylinski family, pasted on the endpapers. Stains on pages 30-31. Theodore Brylinski, a Polish emigrant, married the daughter of the industrialist Risler, and took over the textile factory in Cernay, near Mulhouse.
