A weekly publication devoted to the world of entertainment that appeared between 1873 and 1878 and then, under the title Paris-Portrait, until 1880. Each issue presents the biography of a contemporary personality and news articles, and is illustrated with a photoglyptic portrait. Pictures of Carjat, Petit, Nadar, Quinet, Liebert drawn in photoglyptie by Alfred Lemercier. Biographies of Verdi, Offenbach, Strauss, Claretie, Jules Verne, Leon Gambetta, Ernest Renan, Camille Flammarion... Almost complete set; missing n° 240, 243, 250, 253 and 257 to 260, Some foxing, some titles laminated. Binding rubbed.
