TEA, COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE SERVICE in silver and silver gilt (6 pieces). PARIS, Amélie CARDEILHAC, 1904-1920. It consists of a teapot, a coffee pot, a chocolate pot (gilded interior), a sugar bowl not covered, a milk jug and a tray. A butter dish of a different model is attached. Each piece stands on a pedestal lined with a frieze alternating mantling and palmettes. The body is decorated in the lower register, on an amati background, with mantling and trios of reeds. The plain central part is surrounded by projecting fillets and is decorated on the edges with scrolls, interlacing and arabesques on an amati background, motifs repeated on the lids lined with oves, handles and spouts. The spouts (coffee pot, chocolate pot and milk jug) are underlined by a woman's head with feathers, in applique. The tray with sides takes up this motif (handles). The butter dish is set on a side base. It is bordered by a frieze of gadroons, decorated with scrolls and stylized palmettes and flanked by two heads of fauna (gilded interior lining). Marked : CARDEILHAC / PARIS. Wear of the bone rings of the handles of the pourers, handle of the coffee pot broken at the level of the rings, wear of the gilding. Height (chocolate pot) 22.5 cm; weight 8202 g.
