silver oiler-vinegar. PARIS, Louis-Emmanuel GABRIEL (received master in 1773), 1778-1779 (letter-date P). The molded basin rests on four feet with scrolls and shell attachment. Decorated with shells and flowers at the ends. The mounts are decorated with cartouches with scrolls openwork with bunches of grapes. Blue bottles with gilded decoration of vine branches (vinegar) for one and olive branches (oil) for the other forming garlands with ribbon bows, are arranged in these mounts and equipped with silver stoppers decorated with bunches of grapes punched with Minerva. Visible soldering at one foot, deformed uprights. Length 29 cm; net weight 662 g.
