In-4, burgundy morocco, gilt frame with central oriental fleuron, green moire lining and endpapers, gilt head, cover and spine, case (period). First deluxe edition (the original edition appeared in-8 in 1923) of this report of the famous Citroën expedition of 20 days in the desert, from Touggourt, December 17, 1922, to Timbuktu, January 7, 1923. It is decorated with : 1 frontispiece, 12 plates out of text, 171 photographs in the text, 16 vignettes by Boutet de Monvel and 2 folding maps in color. For the first time, an automobile crossed the Great Eastern Erg and covered the 600 km of the Tanezrouft, creating the first automobile track from North Africa to Sudan. Reinforcements to the case. Small stain on the second plate.
