RUSSIA Baluster-shaped vase in polychrome and gold porcelain, the body decorated with bouquets of flowers, horns of plenty and birds on a white ground, the gilded scrolled handles formed by fruits and acanthus leaves and ending in masks, the neck and foot with white and gold openwork decoration and resting on a square Rocaille-style base whose feet are formed by acanthus leaves, friezes of pearls and shells. Minor chips. Attributed to the Batenine Manufactory in Saint Petersburg. Circa 1830, reign of Nicholas I. No apparent mark.
