Dim.: 6.3 cm (Diam., inside) It is the use of gold and silver in the manufacture of this type of bracelet that gives them the name shams wa qamar, which translates from Arabic as sun and moon. A pair of similar bracelets is in the Musée du Quai Branly, Paris (71.1971.79.20.1-2). Another example is in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (301-1904)".
