Astonishing representation of a half-man, half-monkey figure.
Description by Charles Ratton: Monkey, hermaphrodite, ithyphallic, resting on a multi-branched shrub. A taut membrane running along both arms, slightly bent and pointing forward, joins the shoulder to the wrist. It appears to be clothed from head to toe in a sort of woven garment. A few lugs are visible on the inside of the arms and calves.
It appeared under number 139 in the "Félix Fénéon" exhibition from May 28 to September 29, 2019 at the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac.
