CATALOG LUMINARIES. - LACARRIERE brothers, DELATOUR & Cie. Manufacture of apparatus for lighting and heating in bronze, composition and cast iron. 1883. Large folio, half black basane, rubbed, with missing parts. The catalog contains 140 plates of lighting fixtures, numbered 1 to 278 (with 138 missing; the album was thus bound, no plate was removed). Lacarrière, Delatour et Cie (active in 1870) cast and chiseled most of the lamp posts, candelabras and chandeliers of the Paris Opera, and the fourteen monumental candelabras of the Alexandre III bridge, in Paris, a real tour de force at the time, since the most important of these pieces weighed 667 kg, for a height of 4.50 m and a diameter of 4.70 m. Contains an in-4 leaflet of the price list dated 1883 : devices delivered without installation, with or without accessories ; 34 pp., typographic cover, preserved in a pocket on the back of the first plate. Label of Paul Girard, stationery 7 avenue de l'Opera. Stamp Abel Letombe, in Roubaix (manufacturer of gas lights).
