A large Japanese lacquer and pacage sideboard or English buffet. Rectangular in shape, it opens with two swinging doors decorated with lacquer; representing on black backgrounds, polychrome and gold flowers, animated with birds and butterflies, in rosewood frames underlined with amaranth fillets. It is punctuated by uprights decorated with simulated flutes, ending with tapered legs, also decorated with flutes. The rounded corners are composed of three shelves in rosewood veneer in amaranth frames. Ornamented with chased and gilded bronzes: ram's head falls, beaded frames, dentil rings, sabots and galleries with openwork motifs. White marble. Stamped by Louis Peridiez (Master 17 April 1764) and Etienne Levasseur (Master 17 December 1766).
