Jean François Leleu (master in 1764) Pair of marquetry corner cabinets, each opening to a drawer in the belt with concealed closure and to a door framed by projecting uprights, extended by curved legs. The entablature is decorated with a frieze of interlacing rosettes, alternating with reserves of green stained wood. The door is centered with a flowering vase in polychrome wood, on a rosewood background in amaranth frames, underlined by Greek corner fillets. The decoration is prolonged on the sides in a quarter of frieze, on a rosewood background. Ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes (with the original mercury): rings with laurels, astragal, acanthus falls in reserves, keyways, apron with oak leaves and slipper shoes.
