Important pair of marble high reliefs presenting a couple of canephorus terms framed by winged putti on a background of cut leather with days and scrolls. Fontainebleau school, mid 16th century. Height : 81 cm 81 cm - Width : 36 cm (Lower right corner damaged, some accidents, rain erosion at the top) These two architectural elements present a remarkable example of the brilliant ornamental repertoire that Italian artists such as Rosso Fiorentino and Primaticcio developed at the French Court and in particular in the Bellifont workshops from the 1530s.
